Andrew Walters Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 I just completed an upgrade of the sound system in my car which included 2 amps and I of course want to get the most out of the system by properly setting the gains. I have tried setting them with a DMM but I am not too happy with the results. I would buy a DD-1 but I don't see myself using it again once everything is dialed in. Since I live in Sacramento does SMD locally rent out their equipment? If you don't do this how much does it run to have SMD tune my amps? I am running 2 older RF amps (Punch 500X and 301s) so if you want you can do a amp test Tuesday using them since I haven't seen you test any older RF amps except for the new prime 750.1. Also I am running some very interesting CAT (California Audio Technology) subs which I doubt you have seen before or at least you haven't seen them in a car. For being a sealed box they hit really hard for only running off my little 300watt amp.

GSanders17 Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Plus if you purchase one you could tune several other systems for friends or whoever and charge alittle money and the thing will pay for itself.
