Charger Posted August 9, 2008 Author Report Posted August 9, 2008 They didn't have three more in stock. I will be going seven in the back. This model is 150 amp hours and 1000cca. There is an even larger model, the 200AH but way to impractical to fit enough of them. Hopefully next week I will pick up the other three batteries. I hope my car handles the extra weight, these batteries are 99lbs each! Charger Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 Until I get my batteries I will be limited as to what work I can do. I did a little bit of work just to keep progress rolling. I had a bit of an issue with the batteries not being flat, silly carry handles and the shape of the casing. No worries, I cut the handles off, interesting trying to pick them up with no ropes to grab hold of So I couldn't stack them vertically because they wouldn't sit properly. So I made these 'train tracks' for the batteries to sit on. You can see the batteries now lock into this slot so they won't be moving around and are held firmly in place So we got four over here and provision for three more over here I made up this frame to keep everything in place, should be a nice firm fit back there Thanks guys Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos

My back hurts, it's gunna suck to lift these out again But damn they look impressive and mighty heavy, can't wait to (try to) drive the car with the extra weight Let me know if you want to see the next step, drilling and tapping out the buzz bars Cheers Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos

Dale Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Charger, looking real good man... lets see some buss bars
Charger Posted August 17, 2008 Author Report Posted August 17, 2008 Go the buzz bars drilled for the battery terminals. Then pulled the lot out and did some carpetting Just to tidy up the bits you see Had to move my charge wire and fuse holder, this is where it comes through now. Put all the batteries back in, again. Damn this is starting to not be fun anymore, my back really hurts lol! Bolted up the buzz bars Connected up the buzz bar charge wire, temporary. It will be drilled and tapped. Started on these trim panels, still very basic. My jigsaw sucks so the holes aren't perfect. And took off those crappy fibreglass flared guards which did nothing. Thanks for looking guys all comments appreciated Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos
