Thanks

Been doing some wiring here and there. The shutdown at work is almost over so I promise I will get some real work done soon :)

Dirty buzz bars just been drilled and tapped. Need a clean up.

Posted Image

Cleaned up and negative wiring installed. Still needs a bit of work but have to get more time to spend on it. The wiring is blue Aerpro 0awg, thanks

Dave! :D

No Real updates lately. I've gotten to the point where I really can't do much until my gear arrives so just trying to keep busy so I don't lose interest :P

While I am waiting I bought something to keep me amused for a bit.

Not the best in the world but it's still great fun.

Also got an R32 body that came with the kit, dropped it on its guts now it's got like 1mm ground clearance. Need feeler gauges to test it :D I'll probably buy an upgraded motor, and some other driveline parts for my kit to get it hammering. Also a few sets of different rims and tyres for different road surfaces and driving needs :)

Here's Dave's (IH8SQ) Odyssey which he bought and it convinced me to make a car up, it's a beast!

Posted Image

Oh and onto the car audio side of things I guess.

Did some trimming here and there, nothing exciting just carpet which is just clean and tidy and most importantly, easy to trim with as I am hopeless at trimming.

Posted Image

Carpetted the rear door.

Rockford Fosgate RCAs, these are great.

Posted Image

Now I've got multi coloured 0awg power cables so it looks good now and they are hidden under the panels until they come out to where the amps will live

Posted Image

Can just see the negative wire and bar if you look in behind

Posted Image

Also got the alt fitted on custom brackets to suit its mounting points.

The bad bit is the alternator is faulty, I'm not even going to wire it up to find out. The power output lug on the back is reading ground. Which means dead short somewhere inside the unit. Not a cold chance in hell I'll be hooking a positive charge lead (0awg) to my battery to this lug, I don't like fires. Hopefully get it sorted out this week and get an alt charging again :)

Got a another dB Drag lingering around the corner but looks like I'll be sitting this one out until I get ontop of things.

Thanks for looking.

:)

Dude, its something so simple, and over looked, but the way you tied the cables together with zip ties, I never thought of that, but seen it, and I was Like OHHHHHhhh

But anyways, nice build as always

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Thanks guys :D

Yeah it's the little tricks that make running cables just that bit neater. I stole the idea off somebody else I thought and now that I've done it I'll definitely keep doing it :D

Thanks

But I bought a new shell for my RC car :)

Windows masked

Peel off the protective layer

and it's all purty!

Well not the best finish but not bad for my second paint job

and I also got new motor and ESC for it. Goes a little better now especially top speed. It burns rubber :D

It's based on a Holden Torana L34 for those of you not familiar with the car.

Then I got the alt in properly and all wired up. It works yahoo!!!
