DD Phil Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 You need to get some "Chip Board Screws". Nothing grips in MDF like them. "Wood Screws" like you pictured have too fine a thread, they strip the MDF. Make you you get the Aussie made ones, not the Chinese ones, they break too. Phil
Charger Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 My problem is not so much the screws ripping out (I predrill the right size hole before I screw them in) But moreso the screw actually sheering off. It should be OK now I hope though. The Wurth screws I use are high quality, not Chinese junk. That's through steel remember, not plastic or anything. The black mark was where the crack was last Thursday, so it's growing. The other side is pretty much the same too. Wonder how far it'll grow!?!
