Andrew2944r
Production finally finishes up the 12th and due to two delays from heatsink extrusions the amps will actually be air shipped so no long wait for boat shipping and customs. We are expecting all the AA8.0 TFE's to be here the 19th of this month. Team Ampere Audio
magillaru
Tempted to run this instead of my AB 1100.1...... At least you had a train. I'm still working on putting some tracks down! lol .. maybe ill have my friend look at this amp instead running the dc10k on the 2 team fis hes talking about getting even though i told him to do 2 5ks lol What was your reasoning to run two 5ks vs the 10k other than the obvious of pulling a little more total power......I was debating this same situation (going to be running 2 team Fi's) but wanted to avoid having to gain match etc if running to each sub and didn't want to strap em (this was also advice given to me on here).....just curious. Facekicker
Is the 8.0 replacing the 7500? My understanding was "no". The TFE is a 12v/14v amp, the 7500 is an 18v capable amp. 2002 Monte Carlo Started a build log Fi, DC, Mechman, XS Power

I ran two DC 5.0ks on two Fi Teams. Power output below 14.5v is greatly diminished. The 10k is going to supposedly offer more power on lower voltage than two 5.0ks, so unless your buddy has extremely solid voltage with little drop, you might be thinking backwards. Regardless, the TFE will put out 8k with certainty after voltage drop and I have to appreciate Taylor's explanation of the rating and agree with the logic. 8k should be 8k, not 8k unless..., or 8k if.... 2002 Monte Carlo Started a build log Fi, DC, Mechman, XS Power
