Recommended Posts

if 2 Chainz sounds good on it, where do i order? LOL

LOL

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

I've gotten a demo on that exact system before. Stumbled upon it in some boutique in South Korea. Absolutely indescribable. They played the live version of Hotel California. The sound man, just no words.

With that said, 2 Chainz is stupid, and playing his music through those speakers is even more retarded.

The question is would you have thought the same about the sound if told it was a $500 setup then had a $500 system played for you and told that system was $250k?

i doubt you would ever get a $500 home system to sound as good as this thing probably does. Now could you tell the difference between a $5,000 setup or hell, even a $50,000 setup? I doubt it...but in the end, its just like car audio.... it probably depends on who set it up.

home hifi is a whole different beast!

always ultra curious how MBLs sound like with their weird tweeter design thingy.

closest i got was to listen to avantgarde speakers.

and trust me, $500 home system vs these bad boys, even as a noob, you will be able to hear the difference :)

cheers!

250k system in a room with no acoustic treatment. What a fucking joke.

Not to mention a guy like 2 Chainz probably doesn't know the difference in sound quality...considering all he cares about is how expensive they are.

The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on. (right side only)

You don't need to treat the room if the speaker design is correct for the application.

All you really need to know is the radiation patterns and the nodes and anti nodes of the room.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
