magillaru Posted November 5, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 5, 2014 I take it those are your designs?.....unreal woodworking skills....very nice! I decided I'm going to shave off 3/4" from each front baffle (port sides) with the jig saw and make new ports with the inner port layer extending to the front edge of the baffle (excluding the beauty panel). This will keep the port more consistent as well. I'll post some pictures tomorrow of the results.....wish I didn't have to work tomorrow! Again, really nice designs! Here are some other ideas.. God your woodworking skills make me want throw my tools in the garbage and just pay you to do my enclosure builds. Do you ship or do I have to drive to Wisconsin ? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. A lot of strength could of been added with interlocking your joints, but you didnt do that. Changed the baffle to give it an interlocking joint......had to use a jig saw with an extended blade....big mistake. Cut came out horrible but I was able to sand it down a little and with bracing and tiger hair, it should be okay. I was very tempted to cut out the entire baffle and redo it but was worried about damaging the other surfaces and making it worse. (port walls are only propped up in this picture, not glued yet) *you can see on the right side, the surface got chewed up a little bit....good thing I'm putting a beauty panel on here! *Definitely investing in a decent table saw.....OR, sounds like a good Christmas present the wife can get me! haha Singer Alternators Team Asshole #anothershittysingerbuild Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was really pissed at first but it didn't turn out as bad as I originally thought. (I would also have a piece running along the edge connected to these wedges). Here's what I'm thinking......
