Ricky Reboot Dean Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 So I got a sub off a guy. He bought it and mounted it and that was all. Needless to say how long should is be played before being broken it? I know most speakers say 90 hours and was wondering if that is average to all?-sub info-Boss Audio P106DVC dual 4 ohm rated 2100 watts peak 1000 RMS. In a Bassworx Sealed box.
MrSkippyJ Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 just play it, don't worry about breaking it in. F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 No need to break In. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
MrSkippyJ Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 why wouldn't it be? F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
Ahmed Johnson Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Because this question has been asked and answered a bunch of times. Plus, and it could be just the asshole in me, but seeing his equipment makes me think this is a joke. If not, I'm sorry for my comments.
MrSkippyJ Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 he probably could have used the search function true enough. F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
SQL50 Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Subs don't have to broke in, the suspension loosens as it gets more playtime. Just play it like you never heard of breaking in a sub. That sub will break down before it breaks in.
775Tundra Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Punch the center real hard. Boom! Break in. 2003 Tahoe dc 7.5k dc level 5 15's (3) MMats 341's xs power batts lots of sky high cable dual alts(came off the sky-high gmc and don't know who made them) ipad in center console vu-din in center console all being ripped out and being sold
alaskanzx5 Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 My believe on a sub being "broken in" If I bit a sub that says it handles 1000 watts rms it better handle it from day one. If I buy a tire for my car it better be road worthy from day one. If I buy a belt it better work from day one. Even a vacuum cleaner, m microwave, electric drill, or a coat. If it doesn't do what it is suppose to from day one or it's garbage! Simple as that. If it can't handle what is rated for the first day you buy it then it is trash. Nothing more but maybe less then trash pending brand. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
