brent379 Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 im about to invest in a battery charger and been researching the ctek 7002. also came cross the NOCO G7200. ctek charges batts up to 150 AH noco charges batts up to 230 AH does anyone have any experience with the noco? they both look like solid chargers/maintainers. as of now I don't need something to go up to 230AH, but in a sense the extra headway would be nice. if anyone uses the ctek, how do you guys handle charging up your batts if your over 150AH??
magillaru Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 I just picked this up after hearing good things about it on here....haven't used it yet though. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/microprocessor-controlled+battery+charger-maintainer.do Singer Alternators Team Asshole #anothershittysingerbuild

jrath Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 I have two XS Power d3100 batteries that I closely monitor. I always charge my batteries when they drop to 12.6 volts. When I charge my batteries I keep a volt meter on the battery to monitor the charge. I have used the following battery chargers: CTEK 3300, CTEK 7002, and XS Power HF1215. With the CTEK 3300 the charge never reaches 14.4 volts on my batteries. The highest it goes is 14.1 volts. The voltage drops to 12.6 volts after 2 days. With the CTEK 7002 it takes almost 12 hours for the charge to reach 14.4 volts on my batteries. The voltage drops to 12.6 volts after 1 week. With the XS Power HF1215 it takes about 3 hours for the charge to reach 14.4 volts on my batteries. The voltage drops to 12.6 after 1 month. I highly recommend the XS Power HF1215 intellicharger.
Popwarhomie Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 I was about to pick up a CTEK 7002.. Don't know if I want to spend $200 on a charger. Thats close to the price for another battery. 2010 Focus coupe- 8 12" wall. 157.5@46hz 2016 Focus ST - SQ build.
brent379 Posted December 31, 2014 Author Report Posted December 31, 2014 that was my dilema. 200$ was a little steep considering im going to need 1 maybe 2 more batts, depends if i can revive my d3400. and for my first charger, the ctek seemed pretty idiot proof, ordered it last night!
SLYentist Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 i love my CTEK 25000, i'm sure you'll love your CTEK 7002. good choice. Cables and wires almost never fail; the terminations do.
