How much would I be over paying?

Swapping or hear doesn't cost that much. Scam

Do you know how much it cost to run a shop?
No, but I'm a person who doesn't capitalize on noobs like this shop owner. What legit shop would install tweets and co-axial speakers. Scam.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

I asked for C2's. They have a demo area where you can listen to what you want before you buy it. I loved the sound the c2's made. He told me how the tweeter on the speaker would be muffled since its down by my knees and legs. I asked him to throw in some tweets then. He did. And remember, i havent bought anything. we were just brainstorming ideas and prices.

You'd be surprised what we've seen come out of other shops. And the amount of customers that come in and ask for just that is large. Same as on here, there must have been half a dozen "will this work" threads in the last week or so asking about coax with component sets and extra tweeters. Many shops get tired of constantly educating and just say fuck it, let's do it.

Certainly not correct, but I see how they got that way. Gets real tiresome going through the same lessons day after day sometimes.

Static drops are my bag.

They educated me on it lo. I just asked for extra tweets. Also, nothing has been installed here. Just an estimate.

I definitely do not agree with the muffled sound because of low door placement

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Did they not have C2 component sets? That's what they should have showed you next. Same tonal qualities, gets the tweeter up where you'd prefer, and works as one unit. Plus cheaper than a C2 coax and C2 tweeters separately.

I also disagree with the statement of it being "muffled" by being in the factory door location. However I do prefer tweeters low on the A pillars in that truck. Aimed at the rearview mirror. Personal preference for me because I use my trucks for road trips and daily use.

not on display. Again, this was rough estimate. He just typed up what i told him. He gave me options of what i wanted (coax, comp, amps, etc...) and i picked and he wrote it up on the computer.
