magillaru
I think putting a couple layers of deadener on would get the job done (easy route). If I don't have my heat on, the little flaps stay closed for the most part and the outside noise is noticeable reduced so I think just by sealing it from the inside would be fine........I might try it tonight and I'll let you guys know how well it works. ImaNoob
I think the flaps would still vibrate like hell outside though, if that bothers you or not...It would drive me nuts though. 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Xs3400 1500BDCP FI BL 12 3sq @ 32hz Rockford t675 T400.2 Stinger Deadner Build Log Here

dolarbilz
Dolarbilz , did you just fiberglass the wood to the metal or attach the wood with glue or something ? I really dont know shit about glassing. Now that i think about it if i just put deadner over the vent it still has the potential to make noise from the outside.. I tried the cover the vent deadner move in time between mostiure dirt and heat from underneath the truck comes up through cab and bed and eventually comes loose at least did to me. If you guys give me a day or two I can take pics what I done.my girlfriend moving to her new place I have zero time.its simple its easy its solid.
