rave666 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Report Posted January 21, 2015 Sorry if I was slightly un clear I'm just asking for advice on parts for the whole build sub amps and other parts I did say the two subs I think I erased some of what I had typed ..... I'm just trying to see if I should chose one of the sundown subs how much electrical I'm going to need I wanted to do a small full range for mid to hig 4 6.5 4 10s 6 8s and 3/6 tweeters I'm not sure how the stock is wired it appears to b 1 10 on each side in the back a tweeter and another small mid I have had problem with the stock wireing being staticy as well I can post pics of the fullll interior I'm takeing it to get breaks and tiers in and hour or two and have it put on the dino sry again for the confusion
alaskanzx5 Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 Your over complicating it. Trying to do to much with being so new. Keep it stupid simple Front component set No rear speakers Sub(s) in back A good component set up front will cover mids and highs just fine. They usually consist of a mid range woofer and a tweeter for highs No speakers in the back (mids/highs) will keep your sound stage upfront giving you a better sound imagining (sq). Subs obviously for the lower end freq and usually need a lot of space so the trunk they go. Electrical will depend on how much power you run. The more power you want the more electrical you need. Check with dc alternators, mechman alts, and singer alts for options and pricing. Find some local chinos and members on this forum, ask for demos and stay s doing research on brand to see what you like. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
islandpride684 Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 What is your budget? Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
rave666 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Report Posted January 21, 2015 Okay thank you for your input! The budget isn't really a big deal this is something I would like to buy parts for and install once I have them I do have a decent job. The reason I was thinking about puting speakers in the back was because they have stock bose mounted tweeter and 6.5 I think with an 8 butt they suck the wireis are bad. As for rms power this is where I'm confused there isn't much room for a new alt or dual with stock and dc/ mecman butt I want a nice out put sub ive looked at a few from 2500-5000 watt sundown dc and fi butt I don't know witch one I really like the. Ns3 my friend has a set of there 12s I thought about getting a team speaker butt I think it mite b over kill or I wouldn't have enough room for the electrical ....
rave666 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Report Posted January 21, 2015 i lookd into.the commponet speakers I like rockford t3-5 I have a question about them tho I like that its 2 drivers and tweeters would I be able to say buy 3-4 sets and hook them up to run like left door right door a few tweeters across the door pillars and mayb kick pannels an just take a single drive and tweeter for back right and left?

BigManAC Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 Yes, you could put more than one component set in each door, that would just involve making door pods/panels. There are lots of builds like that on here just search for it. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
