depends on length and if it's AC or DC.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

you know its a 12 volt dc application at most 20 foot run. You can always check the American standards chart but I wanna see what shca says

What are you using it for that you're worried about it?

Or do you just want to know?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

18 gauge for the power? Not Speaker?

I just wanna know.

I'm using it for remote turn on, to feed a vdo volt gauge and maybe power up some led's worst case spark up a 369.2. So I'm not gonna be pulling more than 3-4 amps

AWG chart states 18a for OFC, however as I understand it it's CCA wire. And those charts are rated thermally and do not take into account voltage drop and length of wire

Assuming true 18ga wire, you will be able to run 5a through it without incurring more than a 1v drop over your 10ft run
