Rockford T1500-1bdCP worth the upgrade?

looked like a vs. thread at first..guess it isn't. I wouldn't switch to the RF. It's a better amp IMO but in your case not worth the effort to switch out. Both properly tuned will probably sound about the same (all things being equal). As long as what you got isn't catching fire and keeps playing like a trooper, i don't see any reason to waste your money.

Like everyone said, they can't decide for you. The amp designs are different and that is what you are getting.

I scored this one for cheap. :D Still debating if I am going to keep her or flip her.

First off, thanks for the replies everybody. :)

The reason I run Rockford amps.... Cleaner sound, less strain on electrical! To me, it's a noticeable difference

^^ Yeah the gods are not very efficient lol

as an owner of a Hifonics amp I know they are real power hungry but up grading to something easier on the electrical might give the room to a little more power

Luckily, even though I don't have a H/O Alt in this car, my XS Battery and Big 3 keep me at reasonable voltage numbers which I'm pretty happy with for now, so the electrical strain isnt much of an issue for me.

Personal preference i would have bought the Rockford in the first place but I really doubt he'd notice a difference.
Also why spend money to upgrade but stay at the same wattage?

I wanted to in the first place as well, but didnt have the cash at the time. Now I'm not as tight up on money any more.

And exactly... Spending money to upgrade and staying at the same wattage was my main issue with the idea.

I can't decide for him, but the reason I stick with RF is because it takes minimal electrical to support their amps, plus with the cp series it helps with impedance rise so essentially it is a bit noticeable.. But like you said, If his system is incomplete, Why buy another sub amp when he stated he was in need of the T600-4.. I would say just "upgrade" the sub amp later!

I think thats what I'll do. Instead of going with the P600X4 as originally planned, ill spend the extra money on getting the T600-4 for my speakers and worry about the sub amp later on.

I was hesitant to post it because I thought it may turn into a vs. thread, but it had a bit more to it so I figured I'd be alright. Thanks for the honest opinion on it, as I stated before I think that's what I'll do. Once I upgrade again later on or my Hifonics goes, I'll jump right over to the RF.

Not sure yet. 1800 W, 200 amp fuse rating, THD <0.5-0.8 @ 1 Ohm... Clean power!

OP it's really up to you.
