from what i know about that sub it's a high hz spl burp sub. with a 3inch coil the 7000w rms doesn't seem possible for daily...I'm curious to see how it will do as a daily sub. as far as sq, power handling, And the lows it will play.

the lowest tune the company calls for is 46hz...that scares me!

can't wait to see what this thing does!

jvc deck

Agree. Factory box designs from Earthquake are tuned at 60 - 70hz ish... I'm more in the 30's range so wounder how it will work.

I'm not so good at box calculations, but I guess 260 - 300 litre with two aeroports tuned at around 35hz will be ok. How big ports? I found 6 inches right, but is it too big?

Box design will be something like this, sub inverted in the middle and one port on each side. Or other ideas?

I tried putting the numbers of the Earthquake into my WINisd and this was some of the results i got.. I wouldn't (from this) use a 260-300litre enclosure.. To big a peak.. I would do the 80 litre, but with that said, i'm an SQ man, and always try to get a flat response curve, and i still never used the speaker IRL, and i dont now how it actually will perform :-)
