If I buy HIDs again I'll go through TRS. My current ones are from retro solutions and I have had them for 3 years now. I had a few issues with one of the bulbs randomly cutting out. I'd have to turn my lights off, and wait a bit and then turn them back on. I swapped the bulbs from side to side and the issue stopped. But the bixenon bulbs are known to be finicky (ones that are both your high and low beam)

yeah i am going to go through TRS. was thinking about going the cheap route, but dont think its worth the risk of having all of those headaches. I just dont know if i need the anti flicker capacitor. im sure its a good idea just to have, but curious if people have gotten them without and had any issues.

yea man projector housings is what you need. the housings you have now arent designed for HIDS. the beam pattern will be sporadic at best. if you have to get them get the 35 watters.

or retrofit a projector housing into your stock headlights or try to find porjectors made for your car.

Do a projector retrofit or buy some crappy projectors from ebay at least.. Do not put plug and play HIDs in your reflector headlights...

I retrofitted my projectors years ago and love them. Get compliments from most people who ride in my car. I buy everything from TRS.

Get on HIDPlanet and you will learn a lot.

Not all housings are the same either. Consider this. Two 55w ddm 5000k kits. One installed in my 2005 dodge magnum, the other in a 95 impala. Both aimed properly (iirc the same height as your headlights 25ft in front if the car)

Magnum gets flashed maybe 3 times in a year impala gets flashed 5 times on its first drive.

Why? Not all housings are the same. I've been blinded by many cars running old halogens simply because they aren't aimed right.

So knock off all this, if hid then projector or asshole bullshit.

Op run whatever you want in whatever you want but be mindful of others.

Personally I run ddm. They have been great for me

I hope mine don't piss people off. I already bought an hid kit from TRS before I read this. I didn't know that getting projectors is the way to go. When I searched for my car on TRS, they don't have my car. What would you recommend doing now? Sorry about all the questions. Just new to all of this. And I do appreciate all of the help so far!
