(says the guy who is too cheap to bu that and will be soldering) ...I would not buy that amp. US AMPs used to be quality think they're out sourced or bought out or something... What ohm load are you running and how many channels? Theres a million out there....soundqubed/alpine/jbl/rockford etc. Look in the classifieds on the forum. A used amp form a quality company would be fine if you're on a budget. Although the SQ 4 channel is like $200...kinda hard to beat.

I am open to running any type of amp, as well as any amount of amps. Space or wiring are not concerns. I just want something that will put out my rms and then some. I was thinking running two four channel amps would be a good idea because it would allow me to upgrade with another set of speakers. I prefer to add cone area instead of adding wattage. Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it.
Kyle Aaron Jones Posted February 10, 2015 Author Report Posted February 10, 2015 http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/crescendo-audio-symphony-s800-4-200-watt-x-4-4-channel.html I could use one of these and wire the two front speakers to a 2 ohm load, and leave the back speakers alone for now at 125wpc? I have heard good things about crescendo but have never had any of their products.
aculous Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 ...those alpines are not going to be able to handle that. Start small work your way up. Coax drivers usually don't have the power handling that a straight midrange will have. That amp is fine but GODAMN BOY! you can drop $300 on a damn amp but not $34 on a decent crimper...LAWD!!!

I will kill the alpines then. Oops. I will look into another crimper perhaps. I don't mind buying a much larger amp and keeping the gain low low low. Then I won't have to buy a new amp in six months when I get tired of this set up haha
MrSkippyJ Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 That terminal though, I bet it gets hot as shit with that terrible "crimp." F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
OrionStang Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 I hope you have more pride in your "finished product" than you have shown in the pics posted thus far. You should take advantage of the knowledge available on this forum, before blindly buying random gear; like an amp that doesn't agree with your speakers and a hammer crimp. rockFord_Expedition Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 Being on a budget is fine as most of us are, that's no excuse for sub par wiring. Bare wire is no good, for starters. Kyle Aaron Jones Posted February 10, 2015 Author Report Posted February 10, 2015 ouch. I pull test each of my connections, and I intend on removing the ground as previously stated. It was simply connected in that manner until I can determine amp placement. I did not mean to offend the great gods of wire terminations. I am trying to get help by posting in an area with knowledgeable people. I am sorry that I have failed to request permission to ask about purchasing an amp. It's difficult not knowing what to do. The connection that is running the ground is made of spare wire and was just used to test my ground location.
Miguels Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 i like that ground though. looks like you nailed it and used a washer to hold the lug down.. im not criticizing just letting you know its not safe.. you have to start somewhere my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
