ISO
Accordman since your a Sundown Rep you should have the answers I need. I got real excited when I saw the SAX-100.2 on sale I really wanted one untill I saw the spec on the highpass crossover.(75-2000 hertz) I want my Midranges/Midbasses at 60 Hertz and possibly less and on the top end don't most Tweets like 3,000 to 3,500 at the lowest(even though I think that amp puts out to much power for Tweets). Wouldn't a highpass crossover be more useful to a wider range of people if it had the abillity to go from 50 hertz to 3,500. Actually I don't care about the top end as much. The one thing I didn't check on was if that amp if it might have an adjustable sub-sonic filter. That might fix my issue with the highpass crossover concern. Not trying to be a D!CK I just got bummed out when I realized it wouldn't work with my application without an outboard crossover. Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one. "Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go." Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The Destruction of a person builds character.
meade916
if you put it on 75hz, it should play everthing above that number.........same with the 2000. If you have it turned up all the way it will only play 2000 and up. if its in the middle it will play (for example) 800hz and up. I think you have your cut-offs mixed up bro Its not going to "stop" at 2000.....basicly if your talking high pass, that number is where it STARTS. IF your talking sub bass, the number is where it "ends". Midrange should be starting and stopping (bandpass) but not everyone knows how to achieve that. EricR
i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
