I saw a bunch of people wanted it but then I saw a bunch of people complaining that the fcc voted in favor of it. Corporations being greedy bastards saw an opportunity to capitalize on it and throttle it for money. Now the problem lies in that the government must interject and make a decision. It's good that the government initially didn't let the corporations interfere (for now) but nonetheless now the government has their hands in the middle...as with the politics. The vote was 3-2 with a democratic lead. Once the politic shift eventually changes.....the vote will go the other way and you'll have to pay extra for "good" interwebz. Eventually corporations will dictate what you see on the interwebz... Think China and Iran and other countries where the government controls the Internet. They are also going to say if you want to be a player you need to let us in your networks for monitoring so we can be sure that you aren't doing what we have set forth. And then the msa will be collecting even more info. The premise that the corporations can't throttle and all that is ok however there are a lot of shady things that you guys aren't considering. ISPs throttle bother controlled machines as well as people who are downloading illegally over torrents and things like that. If they don't throttle it can have adverse affects on everyone.
