To make a history short.

Got three different line out converters.
Got a OEM factory integrated headunit.. with built in amplifier.
Other stereo packages for my car has an external amp in the trunk.

The good part.
Found my non distored point on my stereo when testing at the speaker cables from
headunit speaker output. About at 4bars before the text "MAX" on my display.

Tried with three different brands for line out convertes but.. the distortion led is on if i touches the potentiometers
on the loc's..
Tried my new NVX XPLOC4 today that many people said it was a non distorted lineout converter..

These are tested.
Rockford Fosgate IECAULOC
Autoleads PC1-61
NVX XPLOC4

So i dont know.. i give up.. i surrender :)

The only LOC ever shown tested to have zero distortion to my knowledge is the SMD HLC, which was never produced for sale, only prototype. I don't have the link to the video on hand. You could try audio control products, I've heard good things. I have new-in-box LC7i but have never used it. Maybe one day I will test it.

I had people offer me great amounts of money for my prototype hlc-1, one guy even waved $200 cash in my face.. But I wont sell it because I need it IF or when I put a small setup back in my car.

There is one that doesnt distort, and Im trying to remember myself because I need one for an upcoming install :(

Seems that the SMD prototype is the only one that are really working. Strange that no other brand works like that.

Please tell me if you find the one that doesnt distort. :)

The only reason I don't want to test my LC7i on the Tahoe is because I don't want to cut and splice wires for it. But once I get my battery I'll pull the stock radio and see how much slack in the wires I have and I may test it. Anyone know of any audiocontrol distortion tests?

I had the same issue then i went with the audiocontrol lc2i

For me it was trying to pull from my speakers in the rear deck

when i pulled from the 6x9 i would get the distort light on all the time

but then i pulled from my rear deck sup and all was good
