sub's getting hot

take the subs out and check the impedances

Still learning what is impedances

does it smell like cat piss?

word of advice. ditch the sealed box and build a ported box.. chances are the sealed box is not allowing the sub to cool itself. that and turn your gain down not up

Sub's are in the trunk ac won't get there and how much down it's only between 3 and 5 now can't do a sealed box trunks not big enough kinda awkward the way my trunk is

You can reverse mount the subs and use your subsonic filter to reduce some power from going to the subs (not for cone control as with ported), what's odd is that you say they got louder suddenly, check voltage at the amp input terminals, subs impedance and reset your gains, you will need a digital multimeter which you can find even at walmart.
