I honestly have no idea why.. I have 2 and the other is completely fine, hits fine, doesn't sound scratchy when pushed in, and seems to be perfect. They are both running at 1 ohm on a crescendo 2k so they are seeing about 100 watts each over rated but I really figured they could take that... Broke_Audio_Addict
What Are the enclosure specs? What type of music do you listen too? Quote That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. SnowDrifter
I'm curious how you blow out a reinforced surroundYou could try tape, though I've never had great luck with that. You can also try to replace the surround without doing a full recone 1 Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
disprovable
You sure nothing was rolling around in the trunk that may have caused that? Positive, all that would have been in my trunk would have been a few shirts and they weren't in front of the sub they were to the sides of the box
