DophieMan2013 Posted May 10, 2015 Report Posted May 10, 2015 Would like to turn what I got now into s ground pounder. (I want to feel the bass in my chest and the ground shake) i have a 2014 Ford Explorer sport, I1crescendo bc3500, 2 Memphis 15 M3mojo, and 1 xs3100D. I'll be adding a 370A alternator along with my 200amp stock alt and a 2nd crescendo. Would you recommend doing rear fill? What size mid what you recommend for front? Would 1 per door be enogh or should I go for two and build a kick panel?
White Lightning Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 I've never considered a pair of 15s a ground pounder. RooTxBeeR Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Well usually in builds that are groundpounders, they are so loud there is no point to rear fill. And they are so loud they need several sets on the front doors. And most people to make it easier, use pro audio gear. It is easier to get that stuff loud than a set of comp speakers. Also like Cableguy said, 2 15's is not really a ground pounder. Maybe if you have 10k going to 2 monster 15's. DophieMan2013 Posted May 11, 2015 Author Report Posted May 11, 2015 Thank you both. I do plan on eventually adding 2 additional subs. Based on what your telling me I should ditch the Memphis for subs that can handle more. I think I would be content with something in the 10-15k watt range.
