CleanSierra Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 Jesus guys, if the run of wire is short enough, like it would be on an alt to battery under the hood run, it's perfectly within its limits to pass 300+ amps. The factory is using AWG, pure copper wire and the run is so short, I'm sure they know what they're doing with fuse rating. You can easily and safely pass 300A through a 3-4 foot run of wire of quality 4 gauge all day, every day. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

We all just get so caught up in "your ride is gonna burn down" talk, that we get lost on the small details. Like it's only a short run, I'm sure a few engineers took a look a the design before it hit assembly line. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Pics of said wire and fuse? I'll take pics when I get out of work in about 30 minutes. Lol why would I lie about something so trivial? I was surprised myself. Maybe with all the outlets and charging connects they decided to go overboard but it's there.

This isn't my first build and I know what the wire is capable of, I'm was wondering what the draw is on newer cars for them to do the wiring they way that they did
