Lbox88 Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 Been a lot of topics and questions about ammo lately, then I'm surfing my local gun forum and come up with this thread that started at the beginning of this month. Might want to check into this if you bought REMAN 223 in Jan/Feb/Mar. When you use crappy ammo He wouldn't out the name, but did contact the company he got the ammo from and got this response: Here's the response so far...We are very sorry for the issues you have experienced with our ammunition. We stand behind our ammunition and would like to make it right by you. I would like to bring the ammunition back and test it. I can either replace it or refund it which-ever you prefer, and I need information on your firearm damage. Also if your friend had to seek any medical attention we will need documentation from the doctors and pictures of the injury. Here is the information I will need. How much ammunition is left overDate of incidentOrder #Lot # (will be on a sticker on the end of the box the bottom row of numbers)The head stamp informationWhat type of ammunition (ex. 9mm 115 gr)New or remanufacturedFor the weapon used I will need the following:What type of weaponWhere and when was it purchasedDo you have a receipt of purchasePhotos of firearm damageAny documentation from a gunsmith for damageFirearm serial numberAny pictures or video you have or can take will be very helpful.Thank you More pics for the Mfg Any word from the Company? Are they fixing or buying you a new rifle? Are they doing anything about this bad batch of ammo? So far they are cooperating. They sent a return postage for the unused ammo and said they are refunding money for that. They wanted these pictures and a list of the cost of parts damaged. We will see A public recall was made. Any re manufactured ammo that anyone has, check the manufacturers website for any recall that should be considered for your safety. I was going to post the recall on this thread but choose not to out the company publically. They are working with us to get the rifle replaced. Stay safe guys The last post in the thread gave me a good hint along with with others in thread: The recall is there. If you look on the left side and scroll down you'll see a tab that says safety center. Not very easy to find for a major recall if you ask me. And so I looked around and found this. Bad batch, so check yours if you bought some from them during that time period. UBL | Build Log

n8ball2013 Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 I actually knew it was freedom I just take that I knew that for granted. Since I spend a lot of time on shooting forums too it was pretty widely speculated who it was. Lbox88 Posted May 30, 2015 Author Report Posted May 30, 2015 Yeah, great lakes ammo was the other major guess at who it could have been. Either way, it shouldn't happen so often that your name is in the first guesses people have for your ammo blowing the fuck up. UBL | Build Log
n8ball2013 Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 It's not that it happens that often. The gun world is very tight knit. So when it happens the word spreads and then everyone knows a guy who had a kaboom even though it's only one person THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.
