How many amps is my stock atl putting out?

i have a 2009 chevy silverado gasburner

2009 Chevy 2500HD

6" Lift

35" Nittos

22"x13" Fuel Kranks

Pioneer App Radio 3

Alpine 500x5

Memphis PRX 1.1000

Memphis Mojo5 12"

I'm pretty sure you have a 145 amp alt. So at idle it's probably like 80 amps

so are most alts are measured by the idle or how much it can put out?

You could have either, the more power options you have out of the max more likely you are to have a 160a, but you could have a 145a, thats at max output. At 500rpms your getting your idle amps, and at 1800rpms you should be getting your max, as far as figuring out what amp your alternator is either have to go to gm, or clamp it because it could be either or
