hoit
OP you'll get mixed reviews for FatMat here...especially since Second Skin (the best) is a sponsor here at this forum. Pesonally, I've used FatMat in the past, and if applied right, it does the job. Well, at least it did for me. There is definitely better stuff out there (as stated above). I would agree to look in to the B-stock 40Lb kit though. Broke_Audio_Addict
This looks legit. http://www.amazon.com/FatMat-Self-Adhesive-RattleTrap-Deadener-Install/dp/B00HZWSN3W Yet another example of roofing tar. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Cardboardcat15
dont use fatmat. local guy had a few layers on his roof and after about a year it was all peeling off. granted it's socal heat, but still. Product should be made to work in those conditions. My Channel on YouTube. Markous
I used Ultimate B-Quiet in my truck. Cost me about $2.70/ft2 (+ shipping) for two 50' rolls It is sold by a Canadian retailer (rare) about 4 hours south of me. 2 years of 60-70c temperature swings between summer and winter up here and she's still holding up great. germanyt
We wound up using peel and seal from Lowes. It stuck just fine and at nearly a dollar a sq ft it was hard to pass up trying it. Back wall around blow through and roof have 3 layers now at a cost of just 50 bucks. Works great. It has no smell at all and it's like 95 degrees here and seems to be staying stuck to the ceiling. Broke_Audio_Addict
It's not hard to pass on roofing tar for me. Give it some time it will melt off. also bullshit it doesn't smell That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. bassman619
Fat mat smells horribly. I bought some u Opened the box and sold it at a loss after smelling it. Fatmat is basically peel n seel..it like pure tar man..so stinky. I used it a couple times.. it does work for mass loading but in high heat the adheasive tends to melt..you need to double layer that stuff to get any result..its not worth the money.. You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
bassman619
Honestly you could have just bought some ss spectrum and probably would have had way better results. I still suggest it. Even with peel n seel on throw some spectrum on top of it..itl harden up and force the peel n seel to keep its shape that way it wont fall off. And also will deaden way better You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
bassman619
My question is ..whats the point of spending a shitload of money on quality audio equipment ..building a box and then being super cheap on the deadener?
