toolshed
So back when I was in my teens, I decided to get 9 15in petras hyperthrows. For their time, they were pretty decent subs. They are dual 6 ohn subs. I was going to build a wall in a blazer. Now that I have them still I decided to build a flat wall in my extended cab ranger. I put 6 in and ran 2 earthquake shredder amps on them. They really work well with under two cubes of space.after all the work, I'm just not happy with the results. They just cant take the power im running to them. Truck is loud with both doors open but not at all sealed up. So here it is... I'm planning on putting 8 of them isobaric in a fourth order. Is this the best box idea? What's your thoughts? What problems will I run into?

Triticum Agricolam
JL Audio has an article on isobaric enclosures that I pretty much agree with 100%, you can see it here: http://www.jlaudio.com/header/Support/Tutorials/Isobaric+Enclosure+Types/Tutuorial%3A+Isobaric+Enclosure+Types/498110 To paraphrase, there are four reasons to use an isobaric box: 1. You have more subs than you know what to do with 2. You have more amp power than you know what to do with 3. You have more money than you know what to do with 4. You are a golden-eared tweak who can detect subtle non-linearities Sounds like #1 and #2 may apply to your situation and it may be a fun project. I'd just make sure your expectations on performance are realistic. Also, why do you want to use a bandpass box? You can make an isobaric ported box.
