Broke_Audio_Addict
You realize doing the isobaric you are using double the subs and double the power to get similar output as you could with just 4 subs? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. toolshed
Under the current circumstances, I am running aprox 1000 watts per sub and they can't handle it. If I go isobaric, then I will gain space and can push them harder...I might be wrong. Just an idea. All I know is I have 8 subs and would like to get in the 150s
TaylorFade
Iso loading halves Vas. So you will halve the size of the sealed chamber and double your thermal capabilities. You also halve your sensitivity, but you should easily be able to compensate for that with the efficiency of a bandpass. Sound like an cool project. Get to work. toolshed
here's a pic of it before it was finished and the amp rack was done. I dread tearing it all out
Joe X
Do you have t/s parameters for these subs? You should not touch your system until you have fully figured out what you are getting from the new box, 4th bandpass will not perform nice with any sub. Th3pwn3r
16.5 inches from seat to back wall 48 wide 40 tall You measured wrong. There's more room than that. Keep in mid you can gain more space by removing the plastic paneling on the sides and cutting the thin sheet metal.

I used one in a 4th order and got good results. it was in a blazer with the port faced to the rear in the back
