Wicks
why banks of 7 on the caps? Extra voltage capacity. but less capacitance, id be curious as to the voltage drop with just 6 cells per bank Yep, its a trade-off. BigD had a post where he stated he wanted to test amps up at 17V, so the extra cap was needed. I suppose he's fine with it as-is, if he's not even dropping a volt. We shall see.... Miguels
I might have to look into them. They look lighter than a group 31 battery too Quote my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

WillistonAudioLabs
The guy I got the Maxwell caps from had a couple more, so I picked them up. Going to try 5 banks of 6 caps and charge to ~14.8V. Will be 2166F total vs. my current 1485F. I didn't really need to series 7 of them, just wanted the extra voltage if needed. I don't think I do, so 6 caps per bank will be my future setup. Quote See my videos on YouTube http://www.willistonaudio.com Many tests and demos of OLD and NEW SCHOOL car audio gear!
