Belt length for '04 suburban with single 370 amp Mechman

Recommended Posts

Well the title pretty much says it all, i just got my alt in today and i was wondering what length belt I'm gonna need. I know they said it needs to be shorter but no one seems to be able to tell me how much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

probably takes more than 30 minutes for people to respond, especially in the middle of a work day. calm yourself. give people a chance to go do research for you.

6 rib belt right? Is your original size 93 inches long? I mean the rule of thumb is .5 - 1 inch shorter. 925k6 I believe is the auto store part number is for 92.5. I'm working so I'll see what more I can find for you.

Yea its all the standard 93/6 rib, i've googled the hell out of it but can't find anything other than links back to SMD for different vehicles

rule of thumb is .5-1 inch. really depends on condiiton of belt tensioner. only you can find out what size is best.

I put a 92" AC Delco on my 03 Tahoe. It was a bitch to get over the pulley but I got it. No squeal
