Wasteland_Audio Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 So i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to wire in a high idle switch in a 04 suburban with the 5.3L. I want to be able to park it and still get the full output from my alternator without leaving my foot on the gas, if anyone knows of a way to do this that would be awesome, thanks!

Wasteland_Audio Posted October 23, 2015 Author Report Posted October 23, 2015 is that a cable operated throttle body or an electronically controlled throttle body? or does it matter?
FourRings Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 I doubt you have it on the 5.3 but on a lot of GM's they have a RPO option called UF3 that allows you to do it through the cruise control for running a PTO.I doubt you have it but I've seen GM do some strange things so if you have the snow plow prep package or any other weird options it may be worth looking into.I like what the previous poster did but I would only do it if I couldnt get the cruise control to do it.On my 6L all I had to do was click the ebrake on,turn the cruise on and hit accel to raise the idle.As soon as you took the e brake off or pressed the brake pedal it would drop back down.
