Im looking for a decent 1500-2000 watt RMS x1 ohm mono block amp. Ive read alot of reviews on various amp brands and watched various amp dyno vids. But i want real input from actual users. Besides sundown, sound qubed ECT.... what are some "less than" amps that are close to the 1500-2000 watt run. Im pushing two quantum audio Q3000 15" subs. They claim to RMS around 1200 watts and peak 3000 each. I dont trust the 1200 rms rating due to it being a off brand sub but the construction looks good so i think they can handle 750-1000 rms each. I rather have a 2000 watt rms amp and tune it down to make the subs RMS 1600 so i have some wiggle room. Any advise would be great.

There are Lots of amps in that power range.

What's your budget?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

$250 tops, i hear that hifonics is pretty decent for the money. I want to run a sundown 1500 eventually but right now i just need a cheapie that is known to throw 1500 watts at 1ohm give or take.

Thank you guys for the honest input, i was just gonna get a cheapie so i can run both my 15's in a ported box tuned to 39hz. Right now i just have one of the 15" in a sealed box pushed by a alpine m500 so its only pushing 3/4 to 1/2 what the sub is rated for :( i will just save the money and get what i was gonna buy in the first place instead of spending money on two amps. On craigslist and such no one is selling "quality amps" they are only selling boss brand and such. Where can i find used quality amps in texas ? Im north of austin
