Totalnoob
Hey guys i was wondering if i wire an amp at .5 ohms. Then turn the gain down is it possible to have the same outcome on the electrical strain/power as the amp wired at 1ohm with the amp gain turned up to the correct gain setting? What are your thoughts?

will77530
it will still be stressful on the amplifier
kirill007
You could do that, but then the amp will probably output less power then at 1 ohm. Since (most) amps are a lot less efficient at 0.5 ohm. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
