So far ... No, shouldn't be a problem.

One unique feature that I have found with these doors is there would be minimal modification to fit a musical 8" midbass driver in factory location. Tempting ...

I have seen 8s and 10s with coax horn tweeters that go through the pole piece of the mid. An 8 can fit. When I cut out for 6.5s it looked like there would be enough to cut out. But to cut out that much wouldn't keep it centered in the grill because more would have to be cut from the side of the hole. I don't know if that would be a problem or not.

cone acts as a waveguide. You get some problems sometimes with breakup. Ciare has some really nice coaxs and BMS does too. But damn you are talking about a LOT of depth that you would need.

BMS has the ultra low distortion drivers. Also they have the 2" midrange compression drivers that are super nice. Assistance Audio had them make a custom coax that is really nice too.

If I can't make them center up with angles ... I have no problems sticking with the 5.25" drivers.

I like coax drivers, but don't see them as an application for this truck. The only reason is consider 8s in the doors would be no need for sub bass drivers behind the seat.

I'm thinking the 5.25" midrange driver will be my best option for what I'm wanting out of this system.

Most likely will be fully 2 way active if I can't find a suitable location for my passive crossovers.
