1600wrms @ 2ohm

Hi, I've posted before about an amp choice, but haven't had any real luck solving my problem. I need an amp that will push 1600-1800rms at 2 ohm (mono). Budget: 300. Doesn't need to be top of the line, but I don't want garbage. Currently have an alpine 1000w, just not enough grunt to make these soundstreams dance. Thanks for any suggestions on amps!

Your best bet with that budget will be something used, even then it'll be a hard find.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

While it may not pump out 1600w it will be a damn good amp for your needs and you most likely won't notice the loss of a few hundred watts.
