Triticum Agricolam
What says that? They give ported specs on the webpage even, although usually not optimal (really) They will work in a ported box, but never as well as a sub that is meant to be in a ported box from the beginning. My suggestion: 1. Keep the amp you have and save your money 2. Buy a pair of 12"s that will work well in a ported box and with the amp you have now 3. Build yourself or get someone to build you a box that will work well with your new subs 4. Destroy your friend with the W3-13 You can probably accomplish the above while staying within your $300-400 budget. CleanSierra
According to those specs, they shouldn't even be in a ported box.If those specs are accurate.. Specs don't look accurate either. If so, they should be slapped for suggesting ported recommendations. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. Jman9112
Is it the high qts that suggests sealed enclosure? Ballin' on a budget.

Jman9112
Here's an interesting point, maybe since the box is a little undersized and tuned right around Fs of the sub, the qts offsets because its loading just like a sealed box would, and that's why it still sounds awesome. Just not loud enough because of the power. I'm realistically only giving them half rated. 1000w amp @ 12.8v and box rise, maybe 400w to each sub. Thoughts? Ballin' on a budget. notorious97200
You should keep your amplifier. you don't seem to have a budget for a better amplifier, and you would need to double the power to hear something louder. I'd focus on a better box, a sealed one maybe. Or 2 better subs AND the box they need. But you don't NEED more power, you just want more ! black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.

Thoughts? realistically you're reaching really hard.. if you want a new amp go and get one... but your budget is not going to allow you to double your power most likely... this box rise nonsense is not something you seem to understand, it is not the reason you're not loud.... I'd venture to say if you can fit your sub in your friends box to try it and see... if its the same size woofer that is Pioneer Premier P880PRS ll Front Stage: US Acoustics 4060 - Random speakers currently ll Sub Stage: Crescendo BC3500D - 15" Xcon sealed @ 3.28 cubes ll Electrical: - Kinetik HC1800(front) NEW***DieHard P-2(rear) beaker- I know this sounds like a lot of anime bullshit, but it is true. Jman9112
It's not. But the soundstream Rubicon it's well below budget and rated 1700 @ 2 ohms. That's double. $269 Ballin' on a budget.
Jake Miles Mckeehan
Audiopipe Class D Monoblock Amplifier 3000W might be your best bet, its cheap, will do what you need, and its not that bad looking.
