APEC Technology (Average Power Circuit Enhancement)

Think about what he's saying.

Why in the fuck would you need to raise the gain past the point of it matching input sensitivity?

You wouldn't.

If what he's explaining that it does is accurate you'd kill the dynamics of your music.

I really believe what he's saying it does isn't even possible but I could be wrong either way it's a stupid idea and just a marketing gimmick.

even if possible why put a gain on it? just have it with full signal since its technology dont let it clip

he lost me at 1:08 "Allowing for a much higher gain setting therefore much higher output levels".

uhhhh what does your gain being higher or lower have to do with output levels? :unknw: I mean other than the amp reaching it's maximum too early or not early enough?

either the gain is properly matched to the deck or it is not.

Well I mean you're the right man to buy one of these and put it on the test bench and let her rip gain maxed out and see what the dd-1 and ad-1 say.

I'll chip in to help buy it.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I called bs on these the day I seen the video a week ago.

I asked Tony Damore what he thought but never got a reply.

If it was an auto sensing clip free gain, there would be no need for a gain period imo like Miguel said.

Not to mention this is coming from a company that uses a AudioControl meter to show how loud their demo vehicle in the store is, when they have a TermLab...

But of coarse you cant turn the sensitivity up on a TermLab like you can the AC meter so..... Not loud and faked.

Also their "acoustical engineer" PWK uses a crimpers made for 12-20 awg wires to crimp 1/0 with a larger clamp....
The same engineer that designed a 4.50 cubic foot wall for Facekickers (jason) monte carlo for his 2 Team Fi 15s and couldnt even break a 150db on 10krms....... like really..
