Skullz
I made the mistake of buying the PPI 3 way set that was first released in 2011 for $350.00 and was a complete set of shit and total waste of money, the total lack of power handling, no midbass at all and just sounded like complete shit, i lost all hope for ppi after that experience and will never touch another speaker they make. Had i spent a tad more i could have got a real set of comps, some times it takes an experience like this to drive the point home that trying new things can go bad. So now i just buy known name brands that have proven themselves over time. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

akuma4u
I would look into some of the more expensive brands as the mids will do exactly what your wanting and have been designed and built for just that, you would think most speakers out there are capable of playing midbass pretty well, as it turns out most are not, and require even more work to get and sound right. Hertz, Morel, Hybrid audio and Rainbow are just a few of them but it does cost money to get what you really want, and to be quite honest, it is better to buy the quality pieces the first time around and know you won't have to buy them again later on. I really miss my hertz and as soon as i can, i will get another set to run in the car. EDIT: You need more than deadener in the doors to bring the sound out, you'll want some luxury liner to absorb some of the stray sound waves from cancellation. its kind of hard to use full sheets in the door areas due to so many bulges and curves and stuff so what i did was i made a bunch of strips of various sizes and places them in all the bare metal areas and areas where i would knock and hear hollowness... the luxury liner i did not do, im not sure what that is.. im assuming its like a hard foam insulation material? can you give me some brand names so i can look it up? thanks

Moreno93
I would seal where the speakers go first then buy new speakers. More about the installation then equipment numerous threads about the same thing. I bet even if you bought new speakers you wouldn'g be as satisfied
Soccerballzs
Look into Madison Sound, Parts Express for speakers don't spend $$$ for big name. Buy individual speakers. You need Time Alignments , eq and mid bass. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/2438-jeep-commander/I Pioneer P99RSAmpere 38002-Ampere 125/44-6.5 inch Hertz HSK XL Mids4-8 inch JL Audio ZR Midwoofer 2-5.25 Satori Mids2-Morel Tweeters, 2 Hertz Milles 3 inch on A pillars2-Hertz Silk tweeters DC Audio Level 5/12 Skyhigh Wire Mechman 320 XS Power D3100MO Funniest Thread of the Year 2013: http://www.stevemead...dy-being-a-pos/

I bet even if you bought new speakers you wouldn'g be as satisfied can you explain to me how or what "seal where the speakers go" means? other than building a pod and adding foam insulation padding in between the panel and the metal frame of the door, i really dont know what else i can do...
