Lakeshow94 Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 So I have a zapco z-3kd. I have 2 12" dual 1 ohm ct sounds meso subwoofers wired to 1 ohm currently. Subs could definitely take some more power, although I really don't want to spend another grand on a 4-5k. My electrical is a 240 amp singer alt, a group 24 northstar up front and a group 31 northstar in the back. If I were to add a second northstar group 31 do you think that would be good enough electrical to run that amp that low? diegoclass2010 Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 i wouldn't do it... .5 ohm is the lowest i would go... amps become juice monster eaters wiring low.. i would add another amp and just wire at .5 and beef up your electrical

Broke_Audio_Addict Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 I'll bet money the amp will just protect. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
