bmwking
Hey everyone, this is my first time making my own home theater sub. I've received a lot of help from you guys so I figured the least I could do was make a build thread. I'm at work right now so I can't post the pictures, but I'm excited so I figured I'd start the thread anyway. The cabinet is is going to be laid on it's side and used as a coffee table (exterior decorations to be determined by the ol' ball n chain and added later by yours truly). Port facing away from seating, fairly centrally located.
bmwking
as promised, here's the pictures so far! The equipment, 4 Infinity Reference 8" 4 ohm svc subs and a Behringer iNuke1000dsp got my birch pre-cuts so i could get them in the car going to work first initial layout, making sure my cuts were good different angle making sure i had enough clamps got to work with the kreg and titebond3 3 sides up, glued and screwed everything glued and screwed save for the sub panel (you'll notice 3 of the holes got burnt and one didnt, well guess when i changed my saw blade) sub mounting panel glued, screwed, and clamped in place that's where i'm at right now. about to start getting all the internal bracing cut and glued, then it's time to paint the inside, do the wiring, mount the subs, and close her up. bmwking
so since i posted the last pics i've measured, cut and installed the bracing and gave the port mouth a decent coat of black (im going to make a magnetic port cover fabric or something) this gives a pretty good idea of how big the port mouth is (note my hands arent very small)
