Why not save up more money and start with better gear?

You don't have to start with the entry level stuff.

If you build your own enclosure and don't include that in the budget you could do a little better.

Also you could hunt down great deals of used gear.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

(2) 12s $260 - $240http://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosgate-P3D212-500-Watt-Subwoofer/dp/B001AUYWJE

Wire kit $30http://www.amazon.com/Gravity-GR-0KIT-PRO-Amplifier-Installattion-Flexible/dp/B00KRKNTLK

Amp $120http://www.sonicelectronix.com/index.php/lp/pla-monoblock-amplifiers/r500x1d?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&scid=scplp3798045&gclid=Cj0KEQiA89u1BRDz8enExq7rvN0BEiQAaFCHm5VmqSxZINAIHhuQvoHozrYkLfhn8ALV0wu6Ld6uik8aAle68P8HAQ

and this is how you make an insurance claim since your car burned down

That wiring kit is suspect for sure.

I'd run the amp and subs though although you could get a better performing sub in that price range.

exactly. only thing I clicked on was wiring kit. If you're skimping out on the bloodlines, then the rest of the build will suffer
