DTS909 Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Got a little 20ah jb on a scv 3000 and its worth it. LsChevy Posted March 15, 2016 Author Report Posted March 15, 2016 I thought these batteries take the place of multiples. So what will I need for two 5000's?

tboorn Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 a single 40ah lithium with a single good sized alt behind it will hold a 10k all day and barely dip into the 11s after constant demoing. they are really demo designed batteries, at least thats what i tend to say, they have amazing amperage output, safely all the way down to like 8 or 9 volts, way below what most of us feel "safe" seeing. thats where the "demo battery" mentality comes in, spl people need/want high voltage + lots of amperage, demo people just need to have lots of amperage on tap, over almost any range of voltage. tboorn Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 i say that because ive seen too many people complain because they replace some AGMs with a single lithium then cry when they have the same "voltage" as before. what they arent realizing is voltage isnt what makes the power, its amperage, and the amperage is much greater and more consistant than the batteries would be Fidelity Built to Last Team Sound Asleep 24Runner Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/196657-24runner-sleeper-system-lots-of-fi-neo-dd-focal-new-video-w-juicebox-lithium/ 2 x 12" Fi BTL N2 / 2 x 12" Fi BTL N3 2 DD M3b Maxwell 2.7V 3000F Supercapacitors Pioneer DEH-80prs Focal P165 V30 components Rockford Fosgate T-400.4
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Higher voltage = less amperage required Lower voltage = more amperage required That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
IH8PunkRok Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 I'm going to say this. If your lithiums are in the 9-10 volt range you have no amperage either. Lithiums stay high voltage much longer then fall off really quickly. If you see 9v your batteries have just shit themselves -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build

tboorn Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 if you ask the people at juicebox and i would assume the other competitors theyll tell you that they have consistent amperage down to 9v, yes that graph is true but that doesnt tell you the voltage in which the batteries hit the "wall", in the case of the lithiums we are buying, theyve made them so that the amp will protect before the battery is dangerously low. so the "safe voltage" range is say 14v-9v then you hit the wall. At least thats what i was told from juicebox when ordering and inquiring about the 40ah. and im not saying you should be in the 10s while playing, im saying if you find yourself in a serious demo sesh and dont wanna stop, you dont have to be worried when you see 10s because you know your amps are still being fed whatever amperage they need.
