I checked out the video's. I've been around walls and 4th orders like that, but I was meaning a wall facing the rear door.Would it bee like a hatch back just facing sideways? If I'm in the wrong place on the site to be asking let me know.I'm a noon to the internet not car audio.I'm a basshead.

Has anyone ever built a sub wall facing sideways in a car?

Dude.... for a wall facing anywhere but forward, it cant be a wall in the sense that a wall is SEALED OFF to allow little as possible to no air flow anywhere but what is in front of the box. If the box faces to the rear, no matter how tall, wide, whatever, it is not a wall, it is just a big box faced backwards. 4th order walls, 6th order walls, and flatwalls (ported wall), all are ported forward or restricted to moving air FORWARD of the sealed off portion (for most peoples case, the b pillar). If it isn't sealed off, it isnt a wall, and I dont know why anyone would want a wall facing the wrong way, sealed off where basically all you would do is wreck the hatch but basically couldnt hear bass while driving.

Say the box starts at the pillar and goes all the way to the rear dash, and all the way to the roof, and only 2/3 of the way across the backseat with everything sealed off.Could sub's forward and port on side facing door,or port forward sub's facing door ever work. Thanks for the last explanation, this is something I've thought about forever just never had a place to ask.

Who knows if it will work, never seen it done, probably for good reason. That in my opinion still wouldnt could as a "wall". If you are going to sacrifice all/most of the space behind said pillar, why not have it perform better by going the full way across as a normal wall?
