Does anybody know of any decent square subwoofers other than the mtx thunder, mtx jackhammer, kicker solo x, kicker solo baric, hifionics brutus, lanzar max, and pyle red label. also why are they so uncommon?

They are uncommon because there isn't a lot of advantage to them over a regular round sub. I don't know of any other than the ones you listed, is there anything in particular you are looking for?

You're asking for any other decent woofers but listed a bunch of junk, makes sense.

The only one I'd even consider out of that list is the solo x and I'd probably just buy it for the motor.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

yeah i know they are junk i din't want anybody to suggest them. the only advantage i know of is there is more cone area a 15'' square has the same cone area as 17'' round. i was looking to hit some lows like the stuff from 15-40 hz and most of the power handling will not have to due with the coil but rather the mechanical suspention not that i want square just looking at options.

the solo x are discontinued aren't they?

Yeah but they can be found used pretty easily.

What's your budget for a sub?

Also you're max space you are willing to give up?

There are lots of rounds out there that will get you what you're after.
