sound quality differences between mono amps

It's only confusing because hi/low usually means something different. I don't have the amp to read the manual. It confused 2 people, so it's obviously confusing.

That's why it's important to read the manual, people keep missing this step and ask questions that are answered in the manual.

And if you knew the amp you would see that there is no conventional hi input, just RCA's.

Maybe we shouldn't answer if we don't know the answer? Assumption is the mother of f*ckups.

I can't disagree with any of that! I would only say I didn't think t was an assumption. However, I was still wrong and reading the manual is the right answer.

Ground isolator and rca's made no difference

Did you check the ground at the HU?

Or do you have a separate amp for the door speakers? (i'm assuming yes since:"Both of my amps go to a "T" block")

Could you still post some pictures from the install/grounding locations?

A ground loop isolator is a bandaid, it's not a good way to solve a problem.(in my opinion it's useless)

Those aren't the Amps currently in there but same layout.

I tried ground as picture and I tried grounding them separately, no difference.

I think there is something wrong with the jl amp internally. I've never had this problem before in any of my installs and I've used a lot of different amplifiers. The problem goes away when I take out the jl amp. I want to think that it's not the amp because it sounds so clean and powerful but it's messing up the rest of my system.

Pull the amp out and wire it directly to a battery. Wire from your phone directly to the RCA inputs on the amp. See if the problem is gone. If it is, its something with your installation, if it not, it's the amp.

What head unit do you have? Some have a fuse on the RCA shield that can cause problems if it is blown.

Pioneer 5700 BHS is the headunit I run

I just tried grounding the rca's with wire but made no difference.

I completely removed my 4 channel amp and left the jl and sub hooked up just for the heck of it and I can hear a very slight bump through the sub when I put the brakes on or my blinker.

Anyone want to loan me a slash 1000/1 to try?

I'm taking the amp in to a repair shop for their opinion
