sencheezy Posted May 9, 2016 Author Report Posted May 9, 2016 Sooooo.. I heard this thing again.. with the 200+v.. its loud.. sounded clean.. pretty awesome actually There he is. Thanks for stopping by the thread! Thanks for the kind words! So yeah, we all know, it doesn't do "60,000" watts. Hell, it didn't do 20,000 watts. But I am ok with that. We clamped out 12k rising to 2ohms from .47, with pulling 88amps of current at about 80% efficiency. So the next question might be, was it worth the switch? ONE THOUSAND PERCENT SURE! It was worth the wait. I was able to dish out 10krms for what seemed eternity, and it was loud, so loud and clean and clear! Great bass response, nothing every got hot. Usually with a 12v system, everything gets hot after about 30 mins of full tilt. Like your engine, subs, amps, etc. But with this is so much different! 165db with 237 DC Volts 6 15" SSA Evils 3 HV Taramps T60k @.33 18 XS Power D3400s Add me on SC, FB, IG, and YT @ Sencheezy

sencheezy Posted May 11, 2016 Author Report Posted May 11, 2016 Here is the power supply / charger for the bank. These are to Brazil what Alternators are to us, except they cost half the price. Neto562 Posted May 12, 2016 Report Posted May 12, 2016 The FIRST person in United States with 3 Taramps High Voltage T60.000kw for a total of 180,000 watts just for BASS! #Taramps #SSAudio #vapeNscrape #TeamIAK #SounDrive #JuiceBoxBattery #XSPower #DioguardoEngineering #JSUltimateAlts #ToolMaker #BassByRay #SmileyAudio #SHTNONM #RanchoSuspension #KrazeWheels #PowerstopBrakes #ShowOutMotorMeet #UnifiedCustoms #DSSAudio And here is the power supply!! With 18 XS Power D3400s wired in series for a resting voltage of 230DCVolts. But with this Taramps THV10A connected, I will be able to charge and play the system simultaneously at 260DCVolts with each amplifier being wired at .7ohms. Damn looking at your hair looks like you got high voltage in you by just holding that amp lol. Just fucking with you good shit look forward too see how it all goes!!!
ChevyBoy95 Posted May 12, 2016 Report Posted May 12, 2016 Im always a fan of the guys that tread into the unknown (as far as our US community) in the car audio world, but I have a few questions about the play-ability aspect. With 18 batteries in series, you achieve about 230v full charge (12.8v per battery) with the capacity of a single D3400. When you put a ~90a load on 230v system, it would be roughly ~21kw before efficiency loss in the amplifier. If you wired those same batteries in parallel, as in a 12v system, 12.8v times (90a*18batts) = ~21kw. Basically both instances, 12v system or 230v system are creating the same power, just with one being high voltage and the other being high amperage. In theory, besides a efficiency gain of a 12v amp to whatever the HV amps are is all you are gaining in power, but what power is being generated by the electrical system is the same. This leads into my real question, since you are basically pulling the same wattage from the same bank, how does a 230v system differ in "play-ability" over time vs. a 12v system when the theoretical wattage output is the same? (What causes it to be able to play for a few days on no charge at that level vs. a 12v system) Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/
