Anyone with a hatch that has port facing back knows about massive hatch rattling, what are some of you guys doing to combat it?

I am looking for a way to anchor my hatch to the vehicle from the inside but not permanent. As in, so I can pop the hatch glass, release the anchoring, and then open the whole hatch type of thing.

The glass and third brake light pop open separate then the whole hatch OR the whole back hatch can pop open and there isn't much I can do about the glass but I am looking to secure the whole hatch, at the bottom, to the vehicle, then release it when I want. I am talking more so than the factory hook and loop BS. Example:

I haven't yet, but plan to. Need to find thin enough weather stripping I want to put song the entire window so that if at any time it moves in a way to rattle glass to the frame, it has that material in between so it doesn't make noise. I tried .5 in thick and it was to much. Need thinner

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

I have already did that, lol, glad i did, i used some pretty thin black but wife stuff, like rubberized foam kind of and even that seemed like it was ALMOST too much but it still closes and 2 SP4 15" on 7k full tilt didn't break anything...

I can check on that latch thing...thanks! The whole damn everything rattles......lol

I have seen on here someone who just didn't do anything and in time all the vibration wore the hook through the loop and there was tons of slop and basically no loop anymore (there was pics.) and so if I can find a way to not have that happen it would be great. haha

I have to figure out something no matter what, I think in the mean time I will just ratchet strap that leather handle thing to soemthing to keep the whole hatch tight as I can till I figure some thing that is NOT jimmy rigged out. LMAO

have you tried the 2 rubber buttons at the bottom left and right ?they unscrew and puts pressure on the hatch . theyare there to keep the hatch from slamming into the door metal partr.. just a thoght. plus you have wipers on the back like my truck and theres no stopping the bouncing on those if you want to keep them .other than that and deadner i am at a loss

if my ears dont buzz. you need more ..
