How to tell if voice coils are blown

Do you have your DMM set to read ohms, not volts?

ETA: You might just want to take a picture of how you have your DMM set when you measured the coils and post it here.

When i read the coils, it was set to ohms. When I read the batteries, it was set to dc 20V. LOL I see what your trying to do :P

Yup, just checking, sometimes people make silly mistakes, I know I do.

Just hook the fucker up and see if it plays

This, you've got nothing to lose at this point. You can just free-air the thing on low power to see if it works.

double check the dmm by measuring the resistance of something else.(a resistor or a different speaker)
