Big difference or minimal difference?

What are the bonus', if any, to running equal length positive and negative from your battery to your amp. Is it a negligible difference, or does it actually hold some worth while advantages? I am going to be running new wires soon and have the ability to make them equal length so curious on how much it would effect me if I spent the extra to time to make sure it is exact.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

The ground would go as short as possible just to keep things close to the amp , the longer u go always a chance of things to go wrong or get loose . On all pcm's or any other modules in cars they always ground right off the module to keep good solid grounds .

ive always used the rule of making everything as short as possible but i highly doubt that there would be any noticeable difference if your pos and neg were different lengths

Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged

Could just check the resistance on a long piece of wire then a short piece of wire , don't think there will be a difference

I know, shorter better. It's not like I am wrapping the wire around my car lmao. Talking completely about equal lengths between the two wires.

I'd be more concerned about speaker wires the same length in all honesty

I know about those, I don't know the exact fine details. But I know it has to do with time alignment, getting both speakers to output the same exact sound so where ever you sit, they both reach you at the same time.

since electricity travels so fast, it's not a huge issue. it would be interesting to see if sound quality people make the cable lengths the same though. In all reality though for your original question, make the cables short as possible for either connection. You want the least amount of resistance as possible. It doesn't have to be the same resistance (equal lengths).

THen let me ask you this, no need for another topic for this. I know how to measure resistance in my grounds, when I try to measure the positive wires I get nothing. Do positive wires need to be disconnected from a voltage source in order to measure it's resistance? So if that is the case, then should grounds be disconnected as well, or does the accuracy not change whether a ground is connected or not?
